'03 model was better

I replaced my 2003 Bosch dishwasher. I mistakenly thought a 2026 model would be an upgrade and provide superior results. Instead, a much smaller utensil basket, longer wash cycles, superfluous third rack, and dishes that are not near dry at the end of the cycle, despite the Crystal Dry technology/volcanic rocks hype. It does project a red dot on the floor though.

I absolutely love this dishwasher! It's pretty quiet, I love how I can connect it to WiFi and start it from my phone, I love I can change the volume of the buttons. I can also track how much water and electricity it uses! If this one ever fails me I will purchase the same brand over and over! Recommend it to anyone in need of a dishwasher or wanting one. You WILL NOT be disappointed!! I wrapped mine in contact paper to match the colors of my kitchen and it's so nice!

The dishwasher is very quiet. Love utensil rack but the plastic part in middle falls off everytime. Setting up electronically was not user friendly and took a couple hours. The programming also not user friendly & no instructions in book or videos in app. Still struggling in best setting. The on press buttons don't always work pressingly lightly. We have a switch that we turn off power to dishwasher & it resets it so we can't turn back on immediately. Cleans great and so quiet don't even know it's in. Like the light at bottom to show it's on. Need to include provide better comprehensive instructions need to be included in packaging and app. Easy to install in cabinet

We love our new Bosch dishwasher. We love the sleek look with the handle on the outside that we can hang a dish towel on. It's very quiet. It's very roomy and fits large plates on the bottom rack. I don't love the silverware rack and wish it didn't have a swinging cover, but we just removed it. Also, it would be nice to have TWO silverware racks instead of one.

I really like the silverware tray which really does a good job of loading, cleaning and easy putting away. First, the good part: it is extremely quiet and it cleans very well. One complaint: unlike older models there is not a short rinse cycle that can be selected using the door controls; that is a feature loss that my wife misses a lot. Now for my biggest gripe: our new unit broke in less than a year and we have been without its use for 2 weeks because Bosch repair scheduled the next visit so far out despite the pump being available quickly. Our experience with our old Bosch dishwasher was that parts were almost impossible to obtain after 5 years. Although its performance is great I am concerned about reliability and service as a result.

Good but it could do a better job drying

Bought the 800 to replace a very old Bosch. It cleans way and it's more spacious than it looks. I love the third rack! While it does a great job cleaning, I don't think the drying feature is as good as they claim. My dishes are always wet and especially that third rack I love. If I run it overnight their still wet in the morning. I like the Bluetooth connection as I can see when it has finished. The machine is running when it reflects a red light on the floor that my dogs find amusing. Overall is a good machine that could do a better job drying

Quality Cleaning but Disappointing Technology

My new Bosch dishwasher is a well made cleaning machine. The parts in the interior are an obvious upgrade from my previous dishwasher (not Bosch). Even though it uses less water than my previous machine, the dishes couldn't be cleaner. It is also extremely quiet! However some of the cycle features cannot be enabled from the top panel and are only available by using my mobile phone - I find this extremely annoying and a significantly negative aspect. I should be able to just push a button on the dishwasher's and be done instead of having to open an app on my phone every night.

Mostly good with a few issues

One thing, the dishwasher was installed defective. The first time we ran it it stopped with an error code. Had to contact Bosch and get someone out to repair it a few days later and it had a water leak. Was fixed easily and no problems since. Overall we're pretty happy with it, with some caveats. Good: The 3-rack layout is great and really holds a lot of dishes. Definitely more than our old Bosch. And the sound level while running is very very quiet. So-so: Sometimes we find what looks like dirty water pooled on top of items with flat or concave tops. Also even with crystal dry plastic things are still a little wet. Also the normal cycle time is 3 hours! That's a long time. Also you can ONLY access some features like time delay start and changing the amount of rinse aid used by connecting the dishwasher to the internet and using the app, which is annoying.

Sometimes it seems like the 'crystal drying' is less effective than I expected. I wish I could opt for the crystal drying on any cycle.

Works as expected. I would suggest a 30 minute cycle as sometimes that is enough and time is important. I would also suggest an option to add the more dry onto the 60 minute cycle. This dishwasher does not allow that. Please update the app to allow that.

I absolutely love this dishwasher. It cleans dishes, better than any other dishwasher I have ever owned and I love having the third rack. The only downside that I see from this dishwasher is the silverware basket. I wish it was a bit longer and the slots for the silverware in a little I have a hard time fitting my silverware in there. There is an option to fold back the slots, but then the silverware will nest on one of another. But that is my only con of this whole dishwasher. I'm just amazed on how clean my dishes come out you can't go wrong with this dishwasher and the fact that I can see just what the dishwasher is doing and the time it will end is very helpful.

Great dishwasher with big flaw

This is generally an excellent dishwasher with one infuriating flaw. It is silent, cleans well, and the crystal dry feature really dries everything. The flaw that costs a star, or perhaps two, is the bad design of the racks that makes it difficult to load bowls or plates whose edges are taller than the narrowly-spaced slots. Cups and glasses with a wider diameter are also a problem on the upper rack. Bizarely, the bottom rack has been designed in a way that makes it impossible to load cups and glasses in a stable way that does not risk their tipping over and/or falling through the rack. These design flaws severely limit the number of items that can be loaded. I've used several other brands of dishwasher and never had such a frustrating experience trying to load normal plates, bowls, and glasses.

My new dishwasher has been working wonderfully. It is so quiet that I never hear it when it is on and the dishes come out super clean and dry. I think it is worthwhile to do the upgrade to the 800 series model. It just works like I hoped it would. I really like the third rack for the silverware too. The silverware come out very clean and I can easily pick them up and put them away as they are already separated. Great design and performance from my new machine. This is my first Bosch appliance but won't be my last.

Underwhelmed

This is my third Bosch dishwasher in 12 years which with repairs comes to an annual cost of $400. For this I have a machine that can be turned on and off from a vacation location 1000 miles away if we're able to access my WiFi two rooms away, which I can't even if I had a reason to want to, which I don't. Service calls cost $75 to get someone over to tell me the repair is too expensive so I "should just buy a new one." And for my $400 a year I have to listen to my wife complain that "the last one was better."

This Dishwasher is quite, and cleans really well. the multiple settings on wash cycles, and the customization is amazing. what i love the most about it , is the wifi capability and the customization of the wash features. monitoring how much water was consume, savings, and the settings set up.

Bosch is known for excellent cleaning and this unit does not disappoint. The silverware tray does a great job and frees up the bottom from the giant silverware basket from the past. I do not like the required app integration to do what I consider basic items, like a self cleaning cycle. This can only be activated from the app. Delayed start, which was previously activacted by using the buttons on the unit in the past, now requires the app too. I'm at the dishwasher to put detergent in it, and it takes longer to get out my phone, start the app, wait for it to find the appliance, select the proper mode, then finally close the door. The app ADDS MORE TIME to do simple functions. It is 2025. Everything should be faster not take longer to do. Apps are not the solution. Just because everyone thinks they need one does not make it true. The high-power zone cleaning is ineffective. I have found no difference in bothering to turn this feature with similarly dirty pots in a certain zone and just letting the dishwasher run in auto.

I actually don't mind doing dishes now! Cleaning up after a meal is a breeze. And unloading the dishwasher goes so quickly because everything is dry and most importantly, always clean! No more having to wash dishes after our previous dishwasher missed spots. I love this dishwasher!

I've been really pleased with how well this dishwasher cleans all my dishes. It perfectly adjusts to allow for odd shaped items and leaves my dishes very clean and dry. (Tip - I've learned over the years that those of us with hard water MUST use a dishwashing rinse aid. It helps dry the dishes).

Hate this dishwasher

Because I bought a top of the line dishwasher, I didn't think I had to ask if it had a rinse only cycle, a "clean dishes" light or an "add a dish" message. Not only does it not have the previous three features, I cannot figure out how to load it. I have had the dishwasher almost a year and still can't figure it out. When I mentioned this to my son, he told me he had a Bosch too and he couldn't figure it out either. Because I can't figure out how to load it or it is somehow smaller than my previous dishwasher we do an extra load every week. I wish I had my Kenmore Elite back.

The 800 series dishwasher is quiet and cleans well. Compared to our previous dishwasher it lacks only 2 features. A delay button on the main panel so it can be set to delay for an hour or two and also an indicator light to know when the dishwasher has completed its cycle. We often get the dishwasher ready to run but then delay it so we can finish laundry or take showers without competeing for water pressure. The finished cycle light would be a nice reminder the dishwasher is done and ready to be unloaded. The red running LED could change to a green light until the dishwasher is unloaded.

This is our third Bosch dishwasher. This model is so quit that you can hardly hear it running. The dish racks are well organized and provides a lot of flexibility for various types of dishware, pots and pans. Although this model comes with a silerware rack and the upper rack provides slots for silverware, we kept our silverware rack from our replaced Bosch since it was wider than the rack in this new model. This model features various washing options, so far we have used Auto Wash and Crystal Dry with great success.

User interface and phone app sucks

Over reliance on phone app interface. Cryptic option settings( like sound level). There are no indicators for "in drying cycle" or "wash complete. (could have been a cheap green LED that shines on the floor). Complicated method to add second user. (I have 3 engineering degrees and it took a half hour for the support person to walk me through it on the phone)

A little hard to understand the controls. Had to pu it on the network to control th water temp. Wish it had a rinse and hold option. Definitely awesome cleaning, drying, so quiet. I have an open plan condo so dishwasher needs to be quiet, and it is. Very long cycle.

The Bosh 800 dishwasher was worth the investment. It is quiet, easy to use, and has a spacious interior with third rack. I love the ap which let's me know when the cycle is complete. My only regret is that we did not buy it sooner!
