Im very disappointed in this unit. I purchased it at Home Depot but didnt use it for a few months. When I did finally use it i realized it turns on and off constantly whether its cooling or not. Plus the clean filter light came on after two weeks even tho the filter is clean. And...it does not cool the space its in adequately even tho the space is 250 sq feet. I would NOT recommend this product to anyone and would return it if I could.

I bought this in July when my old bedroom unit died. It did a good job of keeping me cool during the hot summer without being too noisy.

My LG 5800 BTU window a/c unit went totally out after only 5months. I called the company and gave them all of the info they asked for I sent them a photo of my original purchase receipt like they asked me to do. However the agent continued to say that I gad to go get a detailed receipt from the store where I had purchased it even though my receipt from the store that I had sent them had each and every piece of info listed on it that they needed . The agent kept putting v me on hold for s total if 48 minutes and it was so extremely loud with other agents talking loudly in the background that I could barely even hear my agent. In the end they never would honor my warranty and I am out $239.00 and no a/c during the extremely hot Mississippi summer. This is one company the I will NEVER recommend to anyone and I will NEVER purchase any more of their products. They should be terribly ashamed of the way they treat their loyal customers and how they DO NOT stand behind their products nor honor their products warranties.

I have had the LG 5800btu air conditioner for several months and I am very pleased with the window air conditioner. We have a 40 foot park model camper that we stay in for practically all summer. The roof air on the camper cannot keep up when the temperatures hit the 90s. And I was going to use the window unit to keep the camper cool along with the roof air. The lg window unit worked so well and is so quiet we dont even use the roof unit until it is needed in extreme temperatures

Great little air conditioner

We have only had the window air conditioner for about a month now but we are totally pleased with how quiet it is while doing a fantastic job cooling our park model camper. The overhead air in the camper we found was not able to adequately cool on the very hot summer days. So we decided to buy a small window air conditioner so we could use them both on those extremely hot days. We didnt realize that the LG 5800 btu would do the job by itself. We are so pleased with our purchase and the reasonable low price we paid for a comfortable camping season. Thanks LG

I purchased this unit for two reasons one it is the only size that will fit the vertical window opening I have and second it has a dehumidification mode. I am using it in a standalone bathroom for our mobile home in Florida. I am happy with the overall appearance and finish of this air conditioner and the features seem good.
