We bought this for the largest room in our home and it did a great job cooling the area and spreading the cool air across the space. The only issue is that it leaks a lot.

I RECENTLY BOUGHT LG LW8024RD WINDOW AIR CONDITIONER AND A FRIEND OF OUR INSTALLED IT IN OUR LIVING ROOM WINDOW. HE HAD NO PROBLEMS INSTALLING IT. IT WORKED BEAUTIFULLY RIGHT AWAY. NO PROBLEMS QUIET EFFICIENT AND EASY TO USE. WE LOVE IT. OUR OLD AIR CONDITIONER WAS MY BROTHERS AND IT WAS A 12000BTU UNIT. IT WAS OLD 12 YEARS??? AND STARTED LEAKING WATER NOISY.. THIS 8000BTU LG AIR CONDITIONER WORKS WELL FOR OUR HOUSE LIVING ROOM AND KITCHEN. I WILL RECOMMEND LG AND YOUR COMPANY TO ANY ONE LOOKING FOR A GOOD AIR CONDITIONER. Quiet and efficient

I have used this unit off and on for about four weeks now. So far I am pleased with its functionality and noise level. My room which is approximately 320 sq. feet cools quite quickly. Installation was pretty simple and straightforward. Considering the market for similar units I feel this LG air conditioner was a great price and highly recommend it.

I bought the 8000 BTU a month ago and I am happy with it. It is easy to install. I have tried different given modes on the unit such as cool fan dry etc. They are all very efficient and easy to operate. The most important thing to me is ... it is very quiet and it cools down my living room 350 square feet almost immediately. I am content with it.

Good ac but leaks

I have had this air conditioner for not even a year and a half and it works great to cool my room down but it leaks into my room instead of out side. I have to leave a bowl under the ac where is drips and dump the water every 30 min to an hour depending on how much water comes out. I have made sure the ac was leveled I even put a piece of wood u see it on the inside of my house to hold it up so I know the water should not be coming out this end.

Noisy in many ways. Had to turn off at night in order to sleep. High fan difficulty hearing. Tinny noise at times and a loud thump when compressor cuts on and off. Whistling noise at times as well.

Ive had this unit for approximately 2 months now. It quite effectively cools my 300 sq ft area during some intense heat but it is very loud and noisy. Fan on high its difficult to hear in the room and when compressor cuts on and off its a loud thump. Also during its cycle it will make a tin vibrating sound for a short period as well as a whistle. I have to turn it off at night in order to sleep.
